May 31 The Playful World of Gelli Plate Mono Printing
Join us for a fun and inspiring workshop where you'll dive into the creative process of monotype printing using Gelli plates—a simple yet endlessly versatile method for making one-of-a-kind prints. This technique is perfect for building rich, layered textures and can spark new ideas for paintings or mixed media projects.
Under the guidance of artist Eneida, you’ll learn how to create dynamic prints using hand-cut stencils made from Mylar film, along with natural elements like leaves and flowers and everyday found objects. These tools leave beautiful, organic impressions on the plate, adding depth and detail to your work.
We’ll be using colorful, non-toxic, water-based inks—and all supplies are included. Whether you're brand new to printmaking or an experienced artist looking to explore a new medium, this class welcomes all levels.
Come discover the magic of printmaking and leave with a stack of beautiful, expressive prints all your own!

Born in Costa Rica, Eneida carries a deep-rooted connection to nature's beauty and a rich tapestry of cultural influences. After migrating to the United States, Eneida graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from The American University in Washington, D.C. Eneida received a master’s degree in art education from the College of Notre Dame, further deepening her understanding of artistic pedagogy and the transformative power of creativity. For 27 years, Eneida dedicated herself to nurturing young minds as an art teacher in a private school in Bethesda, Maryland. Guiding students through the creative process and instilling in them a lifelong appreciation for the arts became not just a profession, but a calling.
Recently, Eneida embarked on a new chapter, trading the bustling cityscape for the serene landscapes of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has found inspiration anew amidst the breathtaking
vistas and vibrant cultural scene. Drawing from her surroundings, Eneida delves into the world of painting, utilizing acrylics, oils, and watercolors to capture the essence of the landscape and the delicate beauty of florals. Eneida also enjoys printmaking, particularly the painterly beauty of monotypes.
